🎵 You're a doggish cat 🎵

{For 18 months – Jan ’17 to Jul ’18 – I'm posting our letter to Miranda while she's on her mission to Cochabamba, Bolivia.  Our letter titles are taken from a list of family sayings & catchphrases we recorded onto a pillowcase she has with her.  You can read her adventures on her mission blog: www.hermanamadsen.blogspot.com!}

Hello from NYC!

We looked for pics of anything during the week, but it seems like all we did was get ready to come on the trip, so this is the photo dump. :)

The night we got here, we toured around until midnight with the Edwards on our actual anniversary. :) Happy 22 years - Dad has been married for HALF his life now. :)

It was foggy that night so it made it a little mysterious and romantic. :)

The effect was so cool.

We've been eating in fancy and/or cool restaurants. Kristens brother, Brigham, has been joining us and taking us all over the city for the most amazing food, no matter where it is.

We saw Phantom,

Street performers like this living statue,

St. Patrick's Cathedral,

Times Square,

And logged 13.3 miles on our Apple watches that day. Instead of the subway like we thought we would take, we used our feet. Walked almost the whole island ourselves. :)

When we got back to our room there was some wine & cheese waiting for us because they heard it was our anniversary.

Nice. But we brought it back to them so they could surprise the next guests. :)

Today we went to their regional conference broadcast, then saw a couple free museums.

Ate lunch at a popular burger place,

And made sure Dad got a slice of NY pizza tonight.

We went to the top of the Rockefeller building to get some pictures, and went to sleep. Well, I'm emailing you from my bed... but I asked Carlie to take some pics of everyone at home for you and this is what I got:

Thinking about you Kiddo. You're so awesome. I can't believe you're in Bolivia doing such a great work. :) keep up the strength and commitment to Heavenly Father. You're so amazing. :) Love, Mama

And some pics that I wasn't home to include on her letter:

We celebrated Jack's bday.  It's funny how mesmerized he still is with everything Connor does.  =)  It's so cute.

We gave him a Blaze racetrack thing and he LOVES Blaze, and LOVES Connor, so it was a win.  =)

For a pioneer field trip, the twins wanted to wear some of our Trek gear to school, even for when they weren't on the trip...
