--> {For 18 months – Jan ’17 to Jul ’18 – I’m posting our letter to Miranda while she's on her mission to Cochabamba, Bolivia. Our letter titles are taken from a list of family sayings & catchphrases we recorded onto a pillowcase she has with her. You can read her adventures on her mission blog: www.hermanamadsen.blogspot.com!}
Hi Darling! Here's our week in review. =) Subject line becomes clear later in the letter.
On Monday, the kids had an assembly to end Magic Week - where they had combined all the Ribbon Weeks together. Cosmo & the Cougarettes did a super funky dance for them, and the Westfield Wolf joined in, too. =)
After school, Carlie & I went shopping for a Preference dress... here's a fail or two. =)
Isn't she so cute, though? She's going to look amazing in the dress we did find. =)
Tuesday, I had to get a picture of Zeus' face when he hears my alarm go off to pick up the kids from school. Every. Single. Day. I turn around to do something, and this is what greets me:
That night we went to see the Greatest Showman for the littles who hadn't seen it. Now all we have to get is Dad. =)
But while parking for the movie (it was $5 Tuesday, so there was NO parking), our van got stuck in a little ditch, high-centered on the trailer hitch. So later that night when Dad got off work, CarMor drove me back to the theater and he towed the van out.
Wednesday after Mutual, Morgan had another game. They didn't trounce the other team. But it was still fun to watch as always!
STERLING IS SO LONELY!! We've been trying to find him a sister, but no one will answer our inquiries on their cats online. It's like our texts are going straight to the cyber junkyard... But he's been so needy and affectionate without Pepper, so we see a lot more of him. He's just so gorgeous and sweet.
So we ordered these Tinker Crates for Connor - he has been so into "inventing" things around the house, and wanting to fix up a little broken circuit he found lying around, so we ordered these kits that you build and rebuild into things that lift things, make sounds & lights. He saved the Electric circuit one until Walker could come over because he thought he would like it the most, so this was Thursday:

That night, I wasn't feeling that great, so everyone came to my bed for scriptures & prayers... and H&K just stayed. They spent the night in my bed, and can you guess if they talked in their sleep, rolled, kicked & flailed? But it was worth it:
Friday, Connor celebrated his birthday in his class. We made him a poster all about himself;
the kids sang to him; he got to show them his favorite toys (Voltron lions & new circuit from the crate); and he got to choose 5 people to ask him a question about himself. One of the kids asked, If you could make it rain anything, what would it be, and Connor said "tacos." Which started an impromptu singing by the class of "It's Raining Tacos" for quite a while. It was pretty epic. Then he passed out donuts and everyone loved him. =)
That night, we went to Carver's with Grandpa & Grandma to celebrate the ending of the spa... meaning we paid them off our last installment of the debt we split when we sold the spa. Happy Day!!! This is the ONLY picture... my mouth stuffed with steak, and Grandma's eyes shut. The selfie later was worse, if you can imagine. =)
Here's Daddy's skiing picture from that day: he's showing you the ice he gets in his beard, JUST FROM BREATHING. =) Still yummy. Sorrynotsorry.
THEN CARLIE WENT TO PREFERENCE. And she looked so hot. =) For their day date, they went on a scavenger hunt at the outlet mall, got kicked out of Hot Topic, went to a Harry Potter party where candlesticks were hanging from the ceiling, then got ready, took some pics here with just Andrew, took group pictures at Sydney's, ate dinner at Kenzie's, went to The Barn for the dance at Thx Pt, left the lame DJ where he stood, ended up at Delightra's (!!!) house to watch Stranger Things, and came home to tell us all about it. No smoochie smooch. I knew that was on the tip of your tongue.
And tonight, Daddy spoke at Zac Brown, Blake Edwards, & Bryce Peabody's Eagle Court of Honor. He gave the Eagle Charge and it was AMAZING. And he looked so handsome. =)
Ok, our memes this time. I found some "click bait" memes that were funny:
And then some from the files:
Oh Kiddo. You're the best. We love you so much. If it weren't so late at night I would totally say something wise. I absolutely cannot wait to talk to you tomorrow. =)
