{For 18 months – Jan ’17 to
Jul ’18 – I'm posting our letter to Miranda while she's on her mission to
Cochabamba, Bolivia. Our letter titles are taken from a list of family
sayings & catchphrases we recorded onto a pillowcase she has with
her. You can read her adventures on her mission blog: www.hermanamadsen.blogspot.com!}

So while I was Hanging Out with you, Carlie was rock climbing with TyBeth,
and Dad was going up the canyon to see if we could get a camping spot, even though we didn't reserve one. He found a tiny one that he & I stayed at together. We packed up as fast as we could, and didn't eat dinner until 8:30. The kids set up the hammocks,
and your doggy had so much fun
She let us know if there was any wildlife around. At all. That ever moved. Ever.
I took this one just for you:
Twins bringing water for the dogs:
See how Chloe is jumping up on Halle? It's because she's been holding her a lot, just like everyone else, so she jumps up to be held by them all the time. =)
Couple more from Dad's phone:
I told the kids you would appreciate seeing that they were warming their bums by the fire. But this is what I got when I told them the pic was for you. Of course:
When Carlie went to work right when we got back, she parked next to Bryce. Oh Rocky. You're doing such a great service for a young man right now. Just don't overheat on him.
Taylor Barton had his homecoming today, even though they're moving from Japan straight to California. It was soooo good to see him! I just smiled all the way through his talk because he's so awesome. He's actually a lot taller, too - he totally grew up... I'm so punny. Ah, I just love his family. He's going to BYU so I told him he's to bring his roommates for home cooked meals, etc. I texted him your blog address, and then like a totally cool mom, told him it's not because he's going to marry you, it's because you were friends. I'm so awesome it's ridiculous. miright
Love you!! I'll have deeper words of wisdom some other time, but I wanted you to know that I could not be prouder of your strength and you willingness to look inside when things are down... I'm learning so much from you, and I cannot tell people enough how great your mission is. You're totally doing it. =)
Oh, really quick: Carlie is headed to girl's camp today and Morgan's headed to EFY. Derek's doing tennis camp every morning and the girls are taking an art camp class every morning with Sister Mummert. Not enough people signed up for Connor's age for art camp, or he would be going too. =) That's what our week looks like. =) Love, Mom
