I don’t like monkey berries

{For 18 months – Jan ’17 to Jul ’18 – I'm posting our letter to Miranda while she's on her mission to Cochabamba, Bolivia.  Our letter titles are taken from a list of family sayings & catchphrases we recorded onto a pillowcase she has with her.  You can read her adventures on her mission blog: www.hermanamadsen.blogspot.com!}

Ok, so Dad dropped off Carlie at EFY, and she chose to eat out at the Cougareat.  =)

I hope she emails you about her week and sends you the rest of her pics.  =)

We had Cousin Camp this week, and I had the little boys.  It was so cute.  Connor, Easton, Max, Tyler, Nathan, Sam, William.  They played in Connor's pool,

Made fling rockets,

Watched Voltron while they ate their dinner,

Played tirelessly on the tramp,

And watched Boss Baby with their glow sticks and Dum-Dums in their sleeping bags.

I found this from Connor's church class.  I like cheese, and we are both special because we say good stuff/words.  Oh my gosh.  And the portraits...

Jana came and stayed with us and her kids.  She & I went shopping for wedding dresses.  We ended up getting MATCHING ONES... and we need to stop eating for a week to fit into them.  =)  Along the way, we stopped in an art store in the mall.  This painting moved me.  To me, it says, He commands all things.

I loved seeing the kids hanging out with their cousins.  And we took care of Indy all week.  She ended up in the back yard with our dogs most days.  AND WITH CHLOE, who stopped threatening to rip Indy's tongue out with her bare claws within a half hour.  Not less, but still.  Do you see your little dog lying on the grass by her?!?!?!?

Also, I got invited to my brother's wedding this Saturday. =)

And we SIL's took Emily out for dinner & gave her bridal presents... all good stuff; some of it VERY good stuff.  =)

I've been thinking a lot about you this week.  I'm so amazed at what you're doing.  I pray for you all the time, and I'm trying to be as good a person as you, but I keep failing.  Thank you for being such a righteous example to me and our family.  Wish I could write more, but it's 12:15am, and I'm getting up at 5:40am for a workout.  Love you love you love you!!!!  Hope I get to Hangout with you tomorrow.  ~Mom
