Ugh. All my class members were going to do for their 25th reunion is go pub-crawling, more drinks another night, and then dinner, dancing & drinks. So I didn't go; did they even think of me and what I wanted to do. Maybe when they think of something not so stupid, I'll go.
And ew. Matching your kids' mascot is the dumbest. Why can't I have my own? I just wanted to get out of that High School, and I'm CONSTANTLY reminded of the "Knights." I could scream. I will scream. You will hear me screaming every time I see a LP Knight. Just ew.
This annoying dog came bothering Zeus the other day, and I had to let him out or he would scratch the door to shreds. He ran around and wore Zeus out. Zeus had to take a 3 hour nap just to get over it. And it took about 13 minutes for them to get their act together to come get him. Take responsibility for your dog!
This also came up on my feed. Why couldn't everyone just smile for once? And why are we separated by so many miles now? Why can't we all just be together like we were. I hope you come home. You've been gone way too long and we want you back.
Then for FHE, Dad helped everyone make a giant mess in the kitchen. There were pumpkin guts all over the bar, and see how it's still all over Connor's hands? The kids almost cut themselves so many times, but we didn't have to go to the ER. hooray.
We got these monstrosities. The kids sit there and burn the motors out and recline them all day. Hope we don't die of heart attacks now because we'll be lying on them all the time. And of course you can only see a corner of my eye. Can't even get my whole face in.
Then Halloween happened. Just be normal for once.
Why do we always have to have someone hiding?
Of course H&K had to go with Talia and Seth And Kaden.
Wednesday. Guess what color it is when you go to the bathroom after eating this charcoal “ice cream?” Yep. Nice & gross.
Chloe finally went to the groomers - she was looking so terrible. No one liked her any more. Now she still has the one eye so we tolerate her.
That night for Mutual, the kids agreed to go to the activity they didn't want to go to, and learn stuff they'll probably never use. They could have hurt themselves but they didn't; and I saw lots of siblings dancing together. Ew.
Thursday this experiment was soggy. Too much softness and flavors mixed. Some of us didn't like it.
Friday, our iphone X’s came. And of course when I try to take a picture, Morgan won't smile.
And frowning even more.
Saturday Morgan was stuck being goalie. I couldn't even get really good action shots on the field for his very last game of the Fall. When we showed up, the other team had THE SAME COLOR of JERSEYS. Who needs to be fired?
Halle, hogging the ball:
Kierste, probably about to miss:
During the games, Connor kept Chloe from running away. She wanted to go threaten every female dog that she was going to rip their heads off if they came near her territory.
We invited a whole bunch of people over for dinner because they had nowhere else to go. We tried to make sure they didn't destroy all our stuff. We kept our hawk eyes on them the whole time.
I can't believe the boys had never played Pirates' Dice. Duh.
Since Sister Jones's mom is doing so bad, I have to help in the library. I get stuck at the corner of the building where no one notices me, and forgotten. Except when they need something from me, of course. Need, need, need, give, give, give. That's all my calling is. So useless and skill-less.Look at this totally racist Halloween costume. Can you believe the nerve of her speaking out against our president, too?
And this is disgusting. Didn't he think of all the people who would gag when they saw this?
This guy's costume is so indecent, the women are totally embarrassed by his outfit. He should have thought this one out better.
And oh my gosh. Someone totally ruined a super expensive storm trooper costume. And I KNOW how much those are. What a waste.
This challenge is going around all the mom world on Facebook. They're the only ones who are going to see it or care, but I did it anyway. You're not allowed to post in color, or have any people or animals. Just boring things around you.
So I did:
1. the 5 pumpkins that actually got carved, even though there are 7 of us.
2. the bouquet Carlie didn't want to take care of, so she stuck it wherever and ruined our Halloween decorations.
3. the daily struggle of getting the kids to put away piano books that are probably scratching the finish on the new piano.
4. the incredibly messy library shelves that I can't get control of.
5. the undone puzzle that no one works on. why do we even have it out.
6. the rotting teeth, I mean gobs of candy that hype up the kids and make them jittery & grumpy.
7. And the mounds of dreariness that I'm a slave to all the time.
So we're plugging along, surviving. Hope you're okay and not too depressed. We'll be here holding everything together, barely. Wish us luck. And I hope you don't die this week. Come home soon if you can. We don't like having you gone every day.
